Michigan based abstract artist, Susan Morosky graduated from the art school at Eastern Michigan University with Outstanding Academic Achievement in Sculpture and Painting. Susan did post-graduate study in Orvieto, Italy with Graham Nickson, Dean of the New York Studio School, and Robert Wilbert at Wayne State University.
Susan’s abstract vocabulary develops from observations of an evolving natural environment. With each new painting, she grasps the challenge to find the balance between chaos and order. The imperfect and the random that result in a distinctive sort of beauty.
Ongoing experimentation remains fundamental to her creative approach. Diverse methods of applying materials and an integrated use of line and color are incorporated to varying degrees into the compositions. Susan’s paintings express her approach to understanding the essence of nature’s spontaneous and underlying forces.
